U.S. Department of Agriculture Kickoff
The U.S. Department of Agriculture hosted their annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) kickoff on September 18, 2012. This year, USDA set a goal of raising just under $2 million from employees through the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA).
The kickoff was an exciting event featuring fun games, great food and compelling speakers who talked about the impact of the CFCNCA. Department leaders kicked-off the event by communicating the many ways in which non-profit organizations touch all of our lives in critical and transformative ways. Employees had the opportunity to win prizes, play miniature golf, use a lasso in a calf-roping contest, and dance to the beat of the CFCNCA with the WII dance-a-thon station.
Since CFC’s inception in 1961, federal employees have contributed more than $7 billion to individuals and communities in need. It is the only authorized workplace charitable giving drive for employees in the federal workplace, and it continues to be the largest and most successful workplace fundraising model in the world. Over the years, the CFC has become a powerful way to help those in need.
Give hope today through the CFCNCA.
