2016 Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area End Date Extended to December 31, 2016
WASHINGTON, Dec. 2, 2016 – The end date of the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA), the annual workplace giving opportunity for Federal employees in the Washington metropolitan area, has been extended to Dec. 31, 2016.
“While there is still more time to make a pledge, we are encouraging Federal employees in the National Capital Area to not delay in completing their pledges,” said Vince Micone, Chairperson of the Local Federal Coordinating Committee that oversees the campaign. “If you have not already made a contribution, consider giving today to support the causes you are most passionate about.”
This year’s campaign theme is Show Some Love and contributions made through the CFCNCA will bring help to those who need it most. With more than 18,000 charities participating in the campaign, donors can support the causes that matter to them, from disaster relief to education and military support to environmental protection. Federal employees are encouraged to consider a payroll deduction, which adds up to a significant impact:
- $100 per pay period* supplies 35 wounded soldiers with a care package necessary for a comfortable flight home.
- $50 per pay period* vaccinates 1,040 children against polio.
- $20 per pay period* provides health care services to 26 mothers and their babies, from pregnancy to post-delivery.
- $10 per pay period* plants 260 trees.
Federal employees can contribute online by visiting cfcnca.org, or by paper pledge form acquired from their Keyworkers. Donations can be made through payroll deduction, credit/debit card, check/eCheck or cash.
This announcement of extension applies only to employees in the National Capital Area and for the CFCNCA.
