My cause is poverty, because I believe this issue does not receive enough attention. I feel like there is a perception that poor people are poor because they choose not to work, or the majority of these poor people are drug addicts.
The reality is that poverty is not about the willingness to work, but more about the lack of well-paying jobs. We fail to accept the fact that most of us are one emergency away from being financially broke.
