CFC Cause of the Week: Cancer Awareness

October is recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In 2018, an estimated 1,735,350 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in the United States.  Almost everyone in the U.S. has been either directly affected by cancer, or knows someone who has battled the disease. But together, we can make progress in finding a cure and encourage the families and individuals fighting cancer to stay strong.

Here's how you can make an impact:

  • $50 supports current cancer research and evaluation for new drugs.
  • $50 provides gas for driving to and from a medical appointment for a family tackling childhood cancer.
  • $500 provides accommodations for a family with a child being treated for cancer.
